Communities in Neal largely lack the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with the present complex situation. This need ranges from the basic understanding of the dynamics of conflict to community‑based approaches to conflict resolution, reconciliation and healing, to broader based conflict resolution skills, and dialogue among key stakeholders including local and regional governments, religious and traditional leaders, and various segments of the communities (women, elders, and youth). Capacity building among all sectors of society in conflict competencies and peacebuilding activities such as dialogue and reconciliation are critical aspects in the contribution to the resolution of the conflict and building sustainable peace.
